Now, yes, obviously this sticker is modeled on me—a photo that my husband took of me in Rome, in fact. I’m shiny with sweat in the photo, and truthfully, I never really liked it. That is, until I came across the phrase, “Speak well of your fat body.” I can’t hate or shame my body into shrinking. Maybe, if I’m kinder to myself, I can trick myself into liking my fat body the way it is.
