I was recently talking to a photographer buddy and, after an impassioned few minutes talking about shooting on film rather than digitally, he blurted, “Because failure is kind of the point, right?” This struck me as a deep truth: Failure is the point—Of art. Of learning. Of life. Failure is a valuable, vital human experience, one that we try to avoid by utilizing shortcuts. Reject AI and learn how to fail well—because failure is kind of the point, right?
